General Discussion / Re: War Chip for an 073 and 060 ECU/DME?

For others that may look for the same answers, we do not have any support for the above mentioned ECU's.

Virtual XP works fine. We are in the middle of making some changes to the WAR software so that it will work with Win7 and 8 properly. We are also doing a hardware change since the memory chip on the bottom is no longer available and we want to finish the hardware change before we wrap up the windows compatibility incase firmware and more windows software code needs changing.

Yes, you can open a bin file into our software. However, you can't make an MPC back to a bin. Also, make sure you have the same software version as the one we use for the WAR Chip. You will know if you have a different version because the maps will have numbers that don't make sense. If you are using the same version, the maps will be displayed as usual.

General Discussion / Re: fuel values
« on: April 07, 2014, 09:23:25 AM »
Hi Phil,

Octane doesn't change the relation. All octane is (in simple terms) is the ability to resist pre ignition from heat.

We received your email and wonder if your car is using a different part throttle map. There are a few things to ensure.

1) Make sure your MAF is installed and functioning properly. We have a trouble shooting guide in our manual section.

2) For the sake of using the proper tune, make a change to your WOT fuel table, save it, and load that tune in all 4 positions so that you guarantee you are using the tune you think you are using.

3) Make sure the values you type or adjust are sticking. Simply hit enter after typing a value. Save the tune, open it again and make sure the values you entered are still there.

The M car's use a Ford cartridge that is modified. Using a 3" housing will not be fully tuneable as you do not have access of the air flow tables with the WAR Chip.

Austin, from Kansas had his turbo s50 remote tuned on Friday. At 15 PSI on a conservative tune (per his request) he put down 430 HP and 400 ft/lbs on a Dyno Dynamics!

Remote tuned S50 turbo
15 psi on conservative tune

.120" Cometic gasket and ARP studs

Don't shoot me guys, the software is almost ready. Things just move slower than we would like with GUI development.

Unplug your TPS, unplug your ICV and plug off the ICV port so that no air can go throught the ICV circuit. This will tell you where your idle is by a natural mechanical stand point. What it does is default to the P/T map where the ECU won't try to control idle. If it does not change, your throttle body is mechanically adjusted too far open at idle. If it does settle down, then you have a problem with the idle control system.

There are a few other idle speed maps that may be used, but none of which would cause it to idle at 3K

Before or after factory O2 doesn't matter. You want it no further than 18" away from your turbine housing though, same for the factory O2 sensor placement.

Nothing new on the 1216 front yet. Email us your tune where you have LC activated so we can look at it.

17 at idle is not a big deal unless you can feel, or hear the car struggling. turn your O2 sensor off and see where AFR goes naturally. A bad O2 sensor and or O2 sensor heater relay can cause strange issues.
