Title: 98 Octane tune HELP!!
Post by: wheels on December 29, 2014, 03:39:10 AM
Hi everyone,

Recently purchased WAR chip & MAF, my car is E30 325i (M20). I'm still new at this & trying to figure out all the settings. My goal at the moment is just get more performance out of the near stock engine.

The only mods I've done is the Miller MAF, but I do use 98 octane. Here in Australia its very common. Can anyone help with the fuel values for 98 octane?

Thanks

Your 98 is the same as our 93. The tune will be fine. You may be able to get away with a small bit more timing if you don't have a catalytic converter. Australia uses a different rating system for fuel octane. In North America, we go by RON+MON/2
