Naturally Aspirated Tuning / Re: Idle AND rev LIMIT for an M20B25 => HELP!!
« on: November 07, 2014, 11:09:47 AM »
OK, finally we manage finish our setup on a M20B25:

Ireland 2.9L Stroker kit
Schrick 288°
Big bore Trottle body 70mm
Schmiedmann header
Stock injector
Stock fuel pump
Stock air filter
MAF and WAR chip for engine management

225Hp and 291Nm

Dyno shows we have a limitation on the exhaust and cam to find more power, we could also have 3Hp more by leaning a bit our setup. Be choose to stay on a safe side.

Not bad, thank you MILLER! :)

Now that I just finished posting about my upcoming 3.0L M20B25 Stroker Tune request...this looks really damn close. Are you considering e-mailing the Tune into Milller to upload to the Tune Cache?

It looks very close to what my motor and setup will be when I have room to get it installed next spring... Don't recall if the engine has a bigger throttle body, think that's stock, but otherwise, similar exhaust, IE 3.0L kit, just up to 19Ibs. Injectors, Stock Fuel Pump, etc.

Naturally Aspirated Tuning / Researching: Best N/A 3.0L Stroker M20 Tune
« on: November 07, 2014, 11:03:56 AM »
I am not starting this project until the spring due to shop space restrictions, but I have a 3.0L Stroker M20 motor (19Ibs Injectors), done by PO via the Ireland Engineering kit. Planning on installing it an manual trans in my E30 Cabriolet.

Plan is to use Miller Prostreet Induction Kit for MAF Conversion along with WAR Chip, and currently thinking best starting point from the ECU173 Tune Cache would be this:

"173 G3 Miller Stroker base (19Lb) 2-8L+.mpc
Gen 3 MAF performance tune using the 3" MAF housing and 19lb injectors for a 2.8L stroker motor"

Sound good? Or better to start with a stock 2.5L Tune and have a shop or Miller do complete custom Tune for it? Previous Owner had the 3.0L running in an E30 but just on stock 2.5L ECU, causing it to run a little rough and dirty, but stable. Just looking to clean it up a little when I swap it in :)
