WAR Software Support / Re: 1+ hours to Write to the WAR Chip
« on: March 27, 2014, 08:45:45 AM »
so under processes, was the WAR software the one getting to 100% busy and staying like that for a long time?
please try to take a screenshot of the processes page sorted by the % taken of the CPU, we could help each other out more like that if you want.

well, at the TASK MANAGER there are 2 pages to look at, one is called APPLICATIONS, and the other one called PROCESSES.

APPLICATIONS shows only open programs that the user deals with directly.
PROCESSES shows every program and application working with windows, from this tab you can actually see every process running with the operating system, and can know every program that's working at this moment and know exactly how much CPU usage it's taking. try checking there to see if the war software is the one draining all of the CPU power, try to take a screenshot of that tab if possible.

hope this helps buddy

hey buddy,

Miller guys will definitely help you with this, but i suggest that when writing to the chip and the CPU usage goes to 100% to check which program is draining all the CPU resources, could be the WAR software or some other software. to check which software is doing that you can go to the Task Manager and find it there.

hope this helps :)

Naturally Aspirated Tuning / HELP: Oxygen sensor + AFR gauges question
« on: March 10, 2014, 05:00:49 PM »
Hey guys,

my oxygen sensor is shot, so i want to get a new one. at the same time i want to get an AFR gauge as i'm going supercharged very soon.
i have my eyes on the AEM kit, with model number (30-4100) which says that has options such as (which i think are the ones i need):

Includes Bosch 4.2 sensor for optimum accuracy and reliability
0-5v analog output included for use with data loggers and virtually any engine management system
0-5v analog output Gasoline values from 10 to 20:1 AFR

so my question is: if i get the AEM kit, will it eliminate the need for a separate oxygen sensor, or do i need to get both the oxygen sensor and the AEM kit and mount both of them?

my car is a 2.8 stroked M50 engine running a 413 DME with a W.A.R chip.

your input on this issue is highly appreciated

unfortunately the WAR chip doesn't provide logging, hopefully that can be changed in the near future (I really wish for that to happen)

Naturally Aspirated Tuning / Do I turn my O2 sensor off?
« on: February 06, 2014, 09:41:09 AM »
well, long story short: i don't have an O2 sensor in my car, but the plug exists in the harness.
would it be causing problems to my AFR when the sensor is on but not existing?

would turning the O2 sensor off cause any problems? i'm not looking for good MPG on the highway, just excellent performance on the highway... so please help me with that.

General Discussion / Re: 413 s52 tune without a modified maf?
« on: February 05, 2014, 02:40:05 PM »
hey there :)

is it alright to do load the S50 tune into my 2.8 stroked M50 engine?
i got a little bit of a higher compression due to using 2.5 M50tu pistons instead of the 2.8 pistons, i believe that makes the compression around 11.25 instead of the stock 10.50

the injectors i'm using are the green stock injectors, 17# i believe.

right now i'm confused on what to use, M50 performance tune, S50 performance tune, or what.

thanks for your time and effort guys :)

WAR Software Support / Re: new war chip for win 7
« on: February 05, 2014, 02:31:49 PM »
hey buddy,

have you gone through the thread for software support?
lots of problems can be solved there.

if your solution is not there you should probably post what is the problem here in order to get a solution and be able to use the chip with your windows XP as planned.

same case here, i got an M50 with M52 2.8 rotating assembly which basically makes it obd1 m52, but i can't find a tune for the same setup of injectors... etc. would love to have more tunes in the data base for such combinations !

« on: January 24, 2014, 05:17:38 AM »
I really appreciate your offer buddy, but i'm running a different ECU, i'm running the 413 one.
I was trying to help but unfortunately it was more complicated than what i can handle.

i'm glad that the guys at Miller are working on providing what you need, let us know how it works buddy :)

glad to hear that everything is well for you now
tell us how you like your new WAR chip and how is it going for your car

« on: January 23, 2014, 09:31:37 AM »
i tried lowering it, lowest i could get is 6100
it is mentioned somewhere that there are set values for the maximum RPM and minimum RPM that were put for safety reasons. i also read a post by one of the Miller guys saying that they can change those values for you. so maybe if you really want that happening you should contact them about it.

do you have a stock ECU or an ECU with WAR chip, cause it was unclear in your post above.
please specify so we can help you more
