General Discussion / part throttle map
« on: July 13, 2014, 06:14:23 AM »
hi ,
We have been tunng the war chip for the last few weeks with some good results ....however we are having a bit of a problem now with the part throttle fuel map....every time i drive the car ...(no matter what gear the car is in) when i accelerate hard from around 1500 rpm -without going to WOT- the AFR goes extremley rich and the car just boggs down..as it slowley climbs above 2500 RPM the AFR starts to come good again and it drives good...
My problem is i can not see where in the map to make the changes....i have pulled fuel out from what im thinking is the high load area ( column7-8  - right hand side - on the map)  but no change...
Am i looking in the right place???? any one else come across this ??
  thanks

General Discussion / fuel values
« on: March 29, 2014, 10:23:40 PM »
Hi all, just seeking advice on changing fuel values, i know that brody is a busy man so i thought id ask here first,  we had the car on the dyno last week for the first time and the car runs very rich..changing the fuel values in increments of 10 didnt make any difference to the AFR..i have read that incremental changes of 10 are supposed to equal 1 AFR ....is this correct..
also we run 98 octain fuel over here..i believe the tune we are using is set up off 93..how much of a difference would that make in relation to changing values..
Going back to the dyno this wednesday so any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance

Hi All, Bought my MAF and War chip mid last year and am just getting round to the install stage so thought id jump on board,
My choice of ride is a Diamond Black 1988 E30 M3, It has been going through a full engine resto for the last 18 months (its almost impossible to find parts for these in Australia).. it has been built to the following specs..
Fully rebuilt Lightened/Balanced bottom end with 2.3 competition spec oversized pistons (11:1 compression ratio)
VAC motorsports Stage 3 Cylinder head with oversized valves.
Schrick 284/276 cams with adjustable cam gears
48mm throttle bodies
Carbon DTM intake
Miller MAF and WAR chip..(the MAF has been installed inside the snorkel).
Will post up some pics soon once I suss things out ..
no doubt i'll be on here picking everyone's knowledge on the WAR chip,as far as I  know there are no tuners in Perth that have had any experience with this product so i will be flying blind so to speak.
cheers, phil.
