WAR Software Support / Windows 7 and the WAR Chip
« on: August 06, 2013, 02:51:12 PM »
As many of you know, WAR for Windows requires Windows XP to function properly. This isn't the software's fault and you actually can install the program on Windows 7. The problem lies with the WAR Chip itself and communication to Windows.

If you Have Windows 7 Pro or Higher, you can install Microsoft's Virtual PC for free and run Windows XP that they provide. If you do not have Windows 7 Pro or better, you can use a program called VMware and install a virtual copy of Windows XP that way.

Here is the link to the Windows7 Virtual PC platform: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3702

Again, we are working on resolving the compatibility of the chip and Win7. Once this is ready, existing chips will need a firmware update which we will provide instructions on how to complete it.

WAR Software Support / WAR CHIP Upload stuck at 9%
« on: August 06, 2013, 02:44:17 PM »
If any of you have updated to the latest JAVA, you will notice that the upload function of the WAR Chip software has broke. We are resolving this with the new Version of the windows software that will be released soon. In the mean time, please downgrade your JAVA version to V7.17. I have included it in the link bellow.

WAR Hardware Support / Re: MAF support for WAR Chip

Hi Jaker,

We do not have tunes specifically for the 803 Porsche MAF. We have plenty of support for the 3.5" 540 and Euro M3 MAF. At this time, we do not plan to make any software for the PORSCHE MAF since for high HP applications we have our Blow Thru MAF that we want to sell. Also, getting a USED 803 MAF has the possibility of being bad. Rather than argue with customers who refuse to consider that a possibility, we would just rather stick to a sensor that we know and can quality assure more intimately for high power applications.
