WAR Chip software
« on: August 07, 2013, 02:50:54 PM »

Hi
I am very pleased with war chip and software but i have one problem.
When i have changed anything in the software and load it back to the ECU it will always put map 1 as an example to another position 2, 3 or 4. next time it will change to another position and so on. So i must always have different rev limits so i can find out wich map i am driving with.
Is this a common problem. Everything else seems to work perfect.
I have a engine M20 B25 -90 ECU 173
Kind regards Pierre

Hi Pierre,

Yes, it is a known bug that is being fixed in the new version due out soon. If you know what you have loaded, what you can do is open a copy of said tune from your computer into the tune slot you want it in. That way when you write it, it should not affect the other positions.

I know it is annoying and we have a proper fix coming right around the corner.

I have the same problem, when i change something on 1 tune for example my idle fuel and idle speed it always erases it. ill change the values and then write it and when i try to start the car i get low idle or rpm at 5000 iv e tried saving it saving it as is then when i read the same tune i just changed and wrote its right back to 0 or 5000 rpm. ( weird ) but i must say ive done many standalone and plug and play systems and the miller war chip is one of the most simple easy to use and ive put down more power with the war chip than any other tuning software. and i get more request for the war chip than any. Awesome product just a few more bugs.

Don't shoot me guys, the software is almost ready. Things just move slower than we would like with GUI development.

once the softwear is loaded on to the laptop, do you need a internet connection to be able to tune or open the softwear?

No you don't need an internet connection. That wouldn't make sense.
