Replacement MAF
« on: April 02, 2014, 09:09:37 PM »

What are the basis of the MAF sensors?  Are they Ford or BMW sensors?  I want to replace my 4" sensor with a 3" sensor for some testing.

The M car's use a Ford cartridge that is modified. Using a 3" housing will not be fully tuneable as you do not have access of the air flow tables with the WAR Chip.

I am trying to get rid of a low RPM stumble.  With only 200 HP the 4" seemed like overkill and with sudden opening of the throttle bodies the MAF seemed to not read accurately.  Makes everyday driving aggravating.   I have adjusted values all over the place with no real change.  Was going to try a smaller MAF that could read lower flows better.  Any other ideas?  can the 3" MAF be modified to work?  This is for a 071 ECU.

Thanks,

Michael
