which tune to use, M50 or M52?

any help on the matter mentioned above? :(

Upgrading to the 3.5" MAF is only necessary if you are maxing out the stock (or close to it) MAF. Changing the MAF size does nothing for power unless A) You are at the upper limits of the stock MAF B) the 3" intake is proving to be a choking point.

Many people upgrade to the 3.5" MAF just because. Others think it gives the more power. We provide tunes because we don't want to argue with the people who think it gives more power and the fact that it is extremely popular to do "just because."

My car is making almost 300 WHP N/A - 11.5:1 compression big cam S50. I am using the 3.5" MAF because the stock MAF couldn't handle it as well as the 3" intake was posing as a restriction point.

Thanks for your input buddy, nice to see the S50 pushing close to 300 WHP, impressive numbers i'd say.

how can I squeeze the max out of my 2.8 stroked M50 engine?
what tune is the best to use? keeping in mind that i'm not planning on dyno tuning it just yet.
my engine is basically an M50 engine with 2.8 crank and rods, and 2.5 pistons from my old vanos engine, which are 1mm higher than the 2.8 pistons providing higher compression.
other mods are ALPINA headers, and lightened flywheel

which tune from the tunes published should i use? do you have a more suitable tune for me than the ones published?

your feedback on how to squeeze out the most HP & TQ out of this engine is most appreciated.

Alameer:

Id say youre pretty close already maxing it out. Unless you want to dump serious money to sqeeze out that last bit of power. Which at that point you might as well boost it. Youll make a lot more power than n/a. M50's/s50's have the bigger connecting rods. So you are in luck. I have had a few people tell me that the m50 can hold 15psi safely with a thicker headgasket. And push up to 25psi but being really risky😂😂 bimmerforums is your friend when it comes to this stuff. Good luck the hrsprs hunt. Got to get them buff horses🤙🤙
