very slow to write
« on: October 27, 2013, 08:08:34 AM »

I have the latest war chip and software. I have a t40 ibm laptop dedicated to the war chip software running windows xp. I can write all tunes and my car runs. its a 413 turbo tune. I can read tunes from the chip in seconds. it takes like 20 minutes to write files to the chip. this doesnt seem right.

No, it should take 1 SOMETIMES 2 minutes tops. I don't know what the specs are for you laptop, but it is definitely struggling to write.

it is an r52 ibm thinkpad with 1.8ghz processor and 2gb of ram. it got to the point of taking an hour to write. this is with avg disabled and all non essentials from running. I went to the display settings and took it off appearance settings and set it to performance and it got down to about 5 minutes. I can live with that. I also installed a virtual machine on my new laptop with xp and installed the software. it takes 2 or 3 minutes to write.
